International Sangha Forum Bodh Gaya Day 1
For the first time, at the invitation of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, some 2000 Buddhist monks from different Buddhist traditions from all over the world have come together in Bodh Gaya to to deepen mutual understanding through speeches and discussions.
Today is the first day.
When we arrived at the venue, we had the most pleasant surprise of all.
Aminadab’s ‘Shiki Soku Ku’ is playing!
Actually, when we met a sound mixer at yesterday’s rehearsal, he said he liked Aminadabu’s music and would play it.
So he’s playing it a lot more than we expected, right up until the opening ceremony and in between sessions.
It was well received by the visitors! They said it was healing.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama came to the opening ceremony, gave a speech and blessed the gathering.
Tomorrow, the 21st, Ryokyu Endo, the representative of the Flame of Hope, will give a speech and Ki demonstration entitled “A Unique Way of Transmitting the Dharma in the 21st Century”.
So how will it be transmitted to the world?
